i saw matt nathanson in concert several months back, and jessie baylin was his opening act. and i just have to say that you've got this girl pegged.
"Hey," she says, then. "Lil, it's okay, you know? He loves you." She pauses, reaches across and presses her fingertip to Lily's nose like a dork, "And I love you."
this? ABSOLUTELY something that jessie would do. she has this playful, chill vibe that i think you captured super well.
anyhoozle, i just wanted to let you know that I LOVE THIS and THIS IS A GREAT PAIRING (and i expect much more about these two, don't leave me haaangin').
