Lol, Russell/the universe is basically canon. XD It is lovely to see Simon touching him back, isn't it? I kind of didn't realise, until I was compiling this post, how rare it is for him to show affection towards people. And yeah, he would TOTALLY be swamped with both Noel and Russell - I imagine it very much like the last picture/video. XD But it would be so amazing, at the same time! I really want to write it but it's overwhelming somehow to think about.

I think it's pretty true. In the radio things, he talks a lot about being a ~recluse~, and Russell makes fun of him for it, but I imagine Simon probably started going out more because of Russell's influence. In general I think he's just pretty socially awkward, so I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't go out much.
