Oh my god, this is fantastic. I really like how you wrote the progression of their relationship. I love your characterisation of Charlie so, so much. I really feel like how utterly embarrassing sex can be is so rarely written about, and I really like how you did it here. I can completely imagine Charlie being that way, so it made so much sense, and I love that how natural and slow the progression was, from Charlie not even being able to respond to kisses to giving a successful blow job. I really liked how Charlie gradually became able to talk about these things, and how at first he really did find it just horribly embarrassing.

Your writing is so good. I love how your create the atmosphere of them together, how slowly they become intimate. I love the details of the flat and the atmosphere around them: the TV being on, the stir-fry in the kitchen, the warmth of being in bed together. (I absolutely LOVED Charlie sucking his thumb because I have SUCH a kink for that: thank you for putting that in there!) I also thought your Alex perspective worked really well: I liked how he tried to understand Charlie's awkwardness and how he generally found it adorable if slightly frustrating. I think using his perspective gave a good insight into both of them, because I feel Charlie would have been too embarrassed to really observe anything.
