This was amazing. I just agree with EVERYTHING that has been said above this comment and flail helplessly because I can't think of anything new to say. Nick and his obsession with music and his shame about sometimes not agreeing with his management and his helplessness when it comes to Joe. I loved every single thing about this (and read it with Sex On Fire on repeat - and it fit this story so well, aside from it being a part of it).

I feel like I'm not being very coherent, so I'll stop here, but I feel like I'm going to reread this a lot.
