Kind of. It wasn't actual insulin, just normal saline, but everything else was the same. It was the same gage needle and all that stuff, and we had to do one in the abdomen and one in the thigh. We had to do it so we could instruct others how to do it, and so we could 'sympathize with our patients'. *shrug* Though it didn't hurt nearly as much as I thought it would, though. The hardest part was working up the courage to actually stick your self, but the neddle was so tiny, I couldn't even feel it. Though at this point, we had been stabbing eachother with these gaint needles and injecting strait into the muscle, so take of that up you will.
