The website Trailer Addict has a whole bunch of Narnia videos. There are a couple of behind-the-scenes reels, and then some interviews. As usual my focus is mostly shallow...I am probably not the most informative news source in the world for this fandom but EVERYONE IS SO PRETTY AND IN LOVE.

This video starts with Caspian putting his arm around Lucy and walking off with her, then Edmund calling him back, and Caspian doing the same with him. IF THE WHOLE MOVIE IS THIS TOUCHY-FEELY I'M NOT SURE I'M GOING TO COPE. Caspian and Edmund's swordfight looks cooool. And also pretty hot. Woah, the water flooding into the bedroom looks AWESOME. Lol at them all flailing around. And lol at the dufflepuds scene.

It's weird seeing Michael directing Georgie, he seems to interact with her quite differently to how Andrew did. Also, that scene looks so pretty and awesome. AWW Georgie "WOW!! Aw, that's REALLY cool." Lol at Liam reading Aslan's lines while wearing a baseball cap. Man, voice-acting must be weird.

Why do Georgie and Skandar look so miserable, and/or sleepy? Awww and Will P. says he's made 'friends for life'. ALSO HOW IS IT POSSIBLE FOR A PERSON TO BE AS POLITE AS WILL P. IS. He starts answering a question, and isn't even interrupting anyone but even so he apologises and offers the question to the others. And then they all tell the Smithsonian Zoo to call a lion cub Aslan. Random. (Also, unexpected reaction to this video: I could go for some Skandar/Georgie right now. Wut.)

Tilda Swinton. ♥ "She really scares them, and they never quite get over it, I think that's pretty much...Edmund particularly, I think, never quite gets over...she's always there, as she says, you know, 'You can't kill me off. I'm always there. Forever in your mind.'" CHILLS. I really need some Tilda/Skandar or Edmund/Jadis in my life. Also, her hair looks awesome.

Can I just say how much I love that one of the bullet points for Ben's interview is actually 'Will Poulter'? Awesome. "I've never met someone who plays a character further from themselves. He is the sweetest, most apologetic, effusive, you know, young man you could ever hope to meet, and he's playing this awful, bolshy, nasty piece of work who gets on everybody's nerves. And I found it actually almost impossible to play irritated with him at the beginning, and so I just made a choice that actually, King Caspian would find Eustace amusing, like a sort of amusing new creature that's landed on his ship, because there was literally no way I wasn't gonna be able to smile during his rants." ♥ IS ANYONE ELSE REALLY SHIPPING THIS? C'monnn. Ben, I think YOU'RE the one being 'effusive'. Look at the love all over his face. And that description is just...I don't think he could love him more. THIS WAS UNEXPECTED.

The thing is, though, Ben's not really exaggerating. WILL IS SO LOVELY.

Skandar...looks really really good in this video. I like what he says about Narnia making him more confident too and wishing everyone could have that experience.

Lol, Skandar saying it was different coming onto set as an 18 year old, because when he was 12 he could just run around and do whatever he wanted but this time he had to be an ~adult.

Awww Andrew talking about how the kids have all grown up. He says it's been really exciting 'this week' to get all four kids back together, but bittersweet because it was such a short time. I really love Andrew's relationship with them all because he's seen them grow up and he was sort of like a father to them on set and idk.

So I kinda ran out of steam but there are a bunch more videos here—interviews, stuff from the premiere, and clips from the actual movie. EXCITEMENT: I HAVE IT.

oh, god. their age difference is such a mind-fuck. i mean i've always known that they were four years apart, and it's not like it's even that big of a difference, but when you're 14 it really is. 14 and 18. fuck. though i actually think it works kind of perfectly, and i really love the idea of them kissing and bathing, and them doing sexual things separately but together and skandar trying to convince himself that it's NOT LIKE THAT even though it kind of is. and kind of isn't.

JUST, YES. jealous!skandar, and loads of sexual tension between skandar and will p. and THREESOMES, THREESOMES, THREESOMES. ;)

i was thinking that skandar could have an apartment of some kind because i remember will saying he had an apartment on wardrobe and he was only seventeen then, and idk, skandar is eighteen and they're there for 5 months, and maybe it is easier for will p. to walk in on them if they are in an actual apartment. like maybe he is staying the night? or maybe he just comes over? idk. the thing that is bothering me the most logistically is the fact that georgie has parents. i mean she's only fourteen, so her parents, or parent, are obviously there with her, and if georgie really is spending every night at skandar's, like she is in my mind, i am kind of just having a hard time imagining her parents just letting her do that, and i can't figure out a way to get past them. unless like they just let her because there is such an age difference, and they've known skandar forever, he's like family, and obviously nothing bad could be happening, idk. or like in one of your fics, her parents are going through a really bad divorce and therefore not paying as much attention to her, or any. maybe that.

I NEED TO WATCH THIS MOVIE.

OR! it's just her and her mother, and her mom is having an affair or like a new boyfriend or something and so she never wants to spend any time there. idk.

Also, I forgot to express joy that you're excited about this. Because I'm really excited too and it's good to have someone to share that with/ramble at.

ALSO I just wanted to describe this one scene that's really standing out in my mind, from the movie, because I think translating it over into Skandar/Georgie/Will P. would just work really well. Georgie and Will P. have just had sex, and Georgie is curled up naked on her side on the bed, and Will wanders off to find some food. And when he comes back, Skandar is lying opposite Georgie, sort of mirroring her position but still fully-clothed, just watching her sleep. And Will P. is like "...oh," and just sits down beside the bed.

And in the scene in the movie, he pulls up a book and uses it as a pillow and just lies there on the floor beside the bed. And it's sort of a metaphor for how he's not the most important person to either of them, and he's like, on a different level~ in their relationship and all that. And idk it's just something that keeps sticking in my mind.

I AM SO EXCITED ABOUT IT. I AM SO EXCITED THAT YOU ARE SO EXCITED ABOUT IT. i also really appreciate that you listen to all my rambly thoughts and appear to like/make some sense of them. :)

i think i love that scene an inordinate amount. it actually really seems like something that skandar particularly would really do, just because he's so protective of her, and he just loves her the most, and of course, of course he would want to lie next to her and watch her and make sure that she's okay. and it also kind of makes me the most sad for will p. though, because it's totally something skandar would do to kind of completely ignore him, not because he doesn't care about him, but just because he's not thinking about him, he's focused completely on georgie, like he as tunnel vision, and i like the idea of will sitting there at the end of the bed watching skandar watch georgie for a long, long, until they all fall asleep. idk.

EXCITEMENT ALL AROUND. NOW WE JUST HAVE TO HOPE THAT I CAN WRITE THE DAMN THING.

Woo I'm glad you like it. You totally get the feel of it too - the idea that Skandar's not doing it to actually hurt Will, he's just focused on Georgie. In the film during that scene, Matthew says to Theo that he wants him to know that he's grateful (the implication being "thanks for letting me fuck your sister who you're freakishly attached to and possibly in love with") and says that it really seems like Theo and Isabelle are two halves of the same person so he feels like he's a part of Theo too. And Theo is all "You're nice and all, but no. It wasn't always meant to be the three of us." But I think Skandar would be nicer about it and 'cause the ultimate outcome of this is threesomes, he wants Will P. too.

The thing is, there are so many scenes like that that I keep thinking of, that would translate so well. It's so weird. And god I'm starting to think I need a Skandar/Georgie icon, or a Skandar/Georgie/Will P. one. HOW DID THIS HAPPEN.

i feel like maybe skandar could be like that more in the beginning, all focused on just the two of them, not wanting to let anyone in, "it was never meant to be the three of us," but then he falls in love with will p., because will p. is legit the best. and, in the even beginning, before skandar falls in love with him because he is the cutest, maybe a lot of it, bringing will in at all is that georgie wants him, and he can't not give georgie what she wants. idk. i am not at all coherent.

what's interesting about skandar and georgie is that as much as they grew up together, it's not like two of them have just been bathing together their entire lives, or kissing or sleeping naked together, it's a relatively new development in their relationship, because for a long time, they had a fairly normal one. and on one hand it's kind of a gradual thing, because they've known each other and cared about and loved each other forever, and they just start spending more and more time together, but it's also kind of SUDDEN ONSET OF FEELINGS because this was not part of their relationship two years ago, two months ago, even, and it's shocking how quickly they become super comfortable, and dependent on each other. and i just find that fascinating, the idea that they were spending all this time together and maybe georgie's spending the night most nights, and maybe one day she's just like, "budge over, you're using all the hot water" and then it just became a thing, and it was distressingly easily they fall into the routine of it, to curl up in bed together, to peel of each other's clothes on nights when it was too hot for pajamas and every night after that, and when georgie kisses him 'good morning' or 'thank you' that's easy too. and i like that, the weird combination of gradual buildup and "HOW DID THIS HAPPEN", like sometimes they fall asleep in the same bed, and sometimes they curl up together in said bed, and sometimes it's too hot for all these clothes, and sometimes they kiss. whatever. ugh, it is too late for me.

Oooh. God, I was going to just do the whole thing from Will's POV because that's kinda how the movie is, and I also just though it would be easier, but now I want to have some bits from Skandar or Georgie's to explain backstory like that. Because it's so interesting, the idea of how they went from being pretty good friends to being that sort of obsessed with each other and inseparable. Your whole description is so lovely. :')

I like the idea of it all being rooted in Will and Anna's absence as well, and how they didn't really notice how dependent they were on them, and that "family" feeling the four of them had. And it's not the same with Ben because he hasn't been there all along. And they keep...almost reverting back to childhood, LWW time, in a way. When he wasn't there. And everything is more different than it's ever been, and so yeah, it's just out of comfort really. And I think they wouldn't properly acknowledge any sexual undertones, or Skandar wouldn't at least, because he just wouldn't want to. He'd see it as a sibling sort of relationship, but deep down he'd know he wouldn't behave this way with his actual sister.

GOD IT'S SO INTERESTING IDK.

i think, like the orgy!fic, it might be easier to write from an outsiders pov, but i want so badly to see their backstory written out that i'm probably going to encourage you to do it that way purely for selfish reasons. seriously, showering together is legitimately my favorite kink, trope, THING of all the things, even platonically, actually especially platonically (even though skandar and georgie are only quasi-platonic). i just find it super intimate and AWESOME, and i want to see how things started for them, the first night she showed up at his door, the first night she crawled into his bed, she first time she slipped into the shower with him, the first time she kissed him, just first time everything. also, apparently in my head georgie is the instigator of ALL THE THINGS. idk, i'm sure skandar initiated some things, what do you think?

i love so much what you said about them reverting back to lww era, back to their childhood, because they were so young then, and i think that's the key of it, really, that and the familial aspects, the feeling of abandonment that's an even bigger issue as a child. i think maybe skandar in particular is really shocked by how much their absence has effected him, like he expected georgie to have a hard time of it, and georgie excepted to have a harder time of it, and obviously he expected to miss them, but, well, he's 18 and he expected to be able to deal with it like a normal person, it's going to be fine, but then when it's not, it's really disconcerning, and maybe that's part of why he latches on to georgie as quickly and as fiercely as he does.

Yeah, and it'll probably flesh things out a bit anyway, because even if Ben tells Will it wasn't always like this, it's going to seem like Skandar and Georgie are just randomly like this all of a sudden and it might seem weird without backstory of some kind. OH GOD I have an unreasonable amount of love for the whole shower thing, particularly if Georgie does it in that casual "you're using all the hot water" way, and the same for sleeping in his bed, it just being something that happened. Like maybe she just lay down to talk to him and they were still fully-clothed, and then the next thing they knew they were waking up in the morning all curled up together.

I can definitely imagine Georgie initiating most things. I think she probably would have started it all, really. But now that they're in this comfortable place with each other, he's just as likely to kiss her first or whatever.

I HAVE. I've actually written ~3000 words so far and feel like I haven't even gotten anywhere yet, so that's interesting.

Wait, Will had an apartment on LWW? I did not know that. Or did I? It doesn't sound familiar. But maybe they would all stay in some sort of place that's between a hotel and an apartment. Like condos? And so they all have their own rooms, but each room has a bedroom/bathroom/living room/kitchen kind of deal. And that way maybe Will P. could stay over and sleep on the sofa in the living room or something. Because in the movie, when Matthew sees Theo and Isabelle, it's when he gets up in the night to go to the toilet, and he just sort of stumbles across the bedroom. So it could be a similar kind of thing.

You know, I'm not sure Georgie actually has her parents there all the time. Like, I don't think she even did during LWW. But I'm not entirely sure. I definitely think they visited, possibly for a long time or more than once, but I don't think they were there the whole time. 'Cause they'd have to take so much time off work and everything, and it's not like they have to be there to look after her when there's the whole of the cast and crew to do that, haha. I do think that even if her parents were there, though, they'd probably think nothing of her sleeping over with Skandar. Partly because they're so close and seem to think of each other like siblings, and partly 'cause of the age difference, yeah.

Speaking of that - I know exactly what you mean. For some reason during LWW, it seemed like the tiniest age gap ever! Like not four years at all anyway. And now it seems sooo obvious, because he's an actual adult now and stuff I guess. And yeah, once I remembered that she'd be 14 and he'd be 18, I was like "...oh." But like you said, it sort of works that way, because it gives more reason for their relationship to be stuck in that sort of half-sexual/half-innocent place where they're really too old for bathing together not to mean anything. And like, in The Dreamers, the reason nothing explicitly happens between Theo and Isabelle directly is because they're related, but in this fic, the reason could be that age difference. And that's such an important aspect, because it leads to that tension and using Will P. to work out their desires for each other.

Lol, it makes so much sense in my head, I don't even know. I've loved this movie for years and today I was wondering why I've never tried to write anything based on it before, and I realised this threesome actually works the best, even though it seems so bizarre. They have the perfect dynamic somehow.

yeah, i remember he was on some talk show where he was talking about how the first night after his mum left he turned on all of the lights in his apartment and left them on all night because he was all alone. i think condo would work really well actually, then they would all be really close to each other still, but they wouldn't have to live out of a hotel room for 5 months.

i thought i remembered and interview where they said that on LWW skandar and georgie at least (i thought maybe anna too, but i also remember them saying that anna was super emotional on the day they filmed saying goodbye to their mother because anna had just said goodbye to her mother that morning, so maybe not anna) always had at least one parent on set with them. like, i'm almost positive that someone said that. i think it was andrew. and i feel like no parent in their right mind would send their 8 year old to new zealand by themselves for 8 months or however long it took to film, because even if they had a crew to look after them, when you are 8, you need a mother. you just kind of do. but maybe now that she's a little older, they don't spend ALL of their time there, like one parent is there for like the first month or two, and then after that they just visit once a month or something. which is kind of what i feel happened on LWW for anna and PC for skandar, and they were 15 at the time, so yeah. anyway i think, especially if they're in condos, even if a parent was there, i don't think they would have a problem with georgie spending all her time like, down the hall or up the street or upstairs or whatever. (I DON'T KNOW HOW CONDOS WORK.)

it's kind of the perfect excuse, the age thing. and yeah, like you said, it's super weird, but i think their dynamic is kind of perfect for this really. IDEK WHY, BUT I LOVE IT.

Oh yeah! I remember that quote, that was the cutest thing. N'awww Wilmo. God, it is so confusing though, you'd think that with all the press and those movie companion books, we'd be 100% sure of living arrangements and parents and everything, but there's still confusion over it. I almost always have them in trailers in fic but I sort of assume they sometimes stay in bigger, more permanent places. Like you say, Will in some sort of apartment, and I'm sure someone mentioned something about a hotel when they were in Prague during Prince Caspian. But I guess if they never say explicitly what the arrangements were, we can do whatever we want in fic...

Having the parents swap over makes a lot of sense, actually. And awww, I like to think having one parent on set at all times was Andrew's idea. XD I think for the older ones, they could probably cope some of the time without a parent, and just have visits, so maybe for the sake of this fic Georgie's parents aren't there all the time. OR I do kind of like the whole angsty divorce backstory, and it could add to Georgie's emotional issues about things being different and feeling abandoned and needing somebody to cling to??

IT IS QUITE PERFECT. And for some reason I keep going back to that interview with the three of them because it inspired this somehow. I really can't work that out, because it's nothing really obvious, it's just some sort of overall FEEL to that video, where it seems like Skandar and Georgie are a little moody and have some sort of connection going on, and Will is just this sweet new guy who's just so happy to be a part of everything.

OH YEAH, THAT FIC. Milk and Molasses. That was my first Anna/Georgie fic. *checks it* Yep, messy divorce. And hey, Georgie was quite Effy-like in that fic actually, what with all the drunkenness.
