Blah blah, usual questions. At 2:00 it's another one of those times where it sounds like someone is calling Skandar 'Skandy' in a non-teasing way, which is weird, especially because it's Will P., but I might be hearing it wrong idk. Aww Will got keep Eustace's diary. And LOL at 3:50, although Skandar doesn't look particularly happy (he doesn't throughout the entire video actually, I choose to believe he is missing Will):

Skandar: We really got the job done, and we didn't, you know, we didn't mess around at all—
Georgie: Yes we did, what are you talking about?!

And right after that is my FAVOURITE.

Interviewer: Who's the most cheeky of the lot, and would play tricks on each other? Or is everybody pretty professional?
Will: It's so weird but it's probably Ben, isn't it?
Skandar: Yeah, Ben.
Georgie: Yeah, we're certainly not professional but Ben's really bad at distracting you, like, you'll be doing a shot on something and he'll just come up and like, touch you and dance in front of you and things like that, and you're just kind of concentrating and he's just having a great time.
Will: Or right before a take he'll just go "Don't mess up," and then just kind of peel off and then of course you're gonna do, so.

THIS SOUNDS EXACTLY LIKE BENITO. Ahahaha omg I love it. TOUCH YOU AND DANCE IN FRONT OF YOU. And, Will's imitation is so spot-on, I can just imagine Ben doing that. And then all the stuff about pronouncing 'sword' as it looks (lol Georgie's "he just used to sit there in make-up going, got my swooord") and BEN BARNES'S BEARD BRUSH.

2:16, Ben's asked about whether the swords were really just taken away from them the moment the cameras were off, and he says "They did try to take them off us a lot because Skandar and I are terrible for—we like practising in between," AND HIS IMITATION ahahaha. They are the cutest. And his imitation of what he'd do if someone broke into his house, too, because he has the sword now. And then of course he's asked about the beard brush (which was to "keep [his] beard from going awry" in his words, lol) and ahahaha, he says that Skandar and Will P. insisted on having their own beard brushes too despite the fact that neither of them are very capable of growing facial hair. Omg that's the best. (Also, he later says that it was "lovely to see Georgie and Skandar maturing".)

Liam is so lovely. And he manages to talk about Georgie growing up without making it sound AT ALL creepy. He calls her a 'beautiful teenager' awww. And he talks about how it's a shame that he isn't ever on set, because he wants to be with the kids and 'look after them and protect them' awwwwww.

It's pretty much the same stuff we've seen already from the premiere, but, along with the cute shots of Ben and Georgie posing for pictures, these are a few of my highlights:

Edith: I heard that you nearly lost Ben Barnes's lip, at one point, and Georgie, you had an eye the size of a golf ball?
Georgie: It's true.
Edith: Suffer for the art!
Skandar: Well, Ben, yeah, can suffer for my art.

LOL.

Skandar: I remember just after I stabbed him once in the leg, and I thought, oh, hopefully I don't do that again, and then I got him in the cheek, and I was like oh no, this is awful, and then I got him in the lip, and I'll always remember his head was in his hands and he was going like "aughhh" and his lip was sort of swelling up, and I turned around, and I just saw everyone on the boat going (shaking head) "What have you done?"

Also Ben and Edith are so adorbs together. He sort of gets all giddy in her presence.

Ben: I could get a lot more confident on a film set and come back and feel that I can play the King, and grow a beard and get in a gym, get a tan, and be like "I'm the King now, step back. I've lost the accent, I'm mean." He's not really mean, he's still quite sweet and doesn't know what he's doing, but—um—at least I have a beard.
Edith: He makes it look like he knows what he's doing! "At least I have a beard, a tan, and I'm ripped."
Ben: Yeah, so it's fine. (gestures to self) All gone, now. Skinny, pasty, no beard. Brilliant. It's a moment in time, isn't it...it's gone.

And his whole story about refusing to go in the golf buggy. "No, I'm a King, I'm walking." I love him.


Also I was looking through my past Narnia posts because I have no life, and stumbled across this conversation and promptly cracked up:

likecharity: The Ben/Georgie thing squicks me out because the age gap is so giant and she's so young, but I think I could come around to it, idk. There really ARE no taboos in the Narnia fandom, it's fantastic. XD
starsimpulse: By the time Voyage stuff starts turning up, with all the caspain/lucy that I'm sure will be floating around, I'm sure ben/georgie will seem totally normal. I'm scared when that day comes but (creepily) excited, too.

AHAHAHA. Oh, that day has come. That day has definitely come. (Although—does it seem totally normal yet? I'm not sure. I've definitely come around to it, though...)

Okay, so, with that subtle move out of the way: HOW IS GEORGIE SO LOVELY? HOW? fjdfhjksdg she is just so bubbly and happy, it is so lovely. Also, lol, Skandar really didn't look happy at all but then just next to him you've got Georgie-I'm-So-Cheerful being like :DDDDD

HOW SWEET IS BEN? I particularly enjoyed his imitation of the sword fight 'rehearsals'. He also reminded me that I need to go read Birdsong, so I will do that after I finish the book I'm reading at the moment.

ALSO THOSE VIDEOS WITH THE LION CUBS, LOOOOOK AT THE LITTLE LION CUBS THEY ARE SO RIDIC SCHMOOGLY only then they would eat me. I like how Georgie is like LOOK A LION CUB and Skandar is like, a lion cub? WAUGH MY HAND.

Yeah, that's the thing! It's like why I love the bloopers and commentaries so much, because it's just them being themselves and messing around. I love the interviews too, but it's just not the same.

LOL THAT'S SO TRUE. I really don't know what's up with him.

That's what I thought, towards the end he almost sounds drunk. But I love that he still has a proper conversation instead of just giving short answers.

UGH,THANK GOD FINALS ARE FINALLY OVER AND I CAN GO BACK TO FREAKING OUT THE MOST ABOUT NARNIA. ugh, seriously, you have been on a roll of epic. way to freakin' be. I AM SO STOKED ABOUT ALL OF THIS!

HE LEGIT SOUNDS LIKE HE CALLS HIM SKANDY. that is so weird, because it's will, and it's just so casual. is it just their accents? i seriously cant tell. if they really are calling him that like regularly now, THAT IS FREAKING ADORABLE.

i find myself becoming weirdly transfixed by will p.'s face. i just find his expressions, and his eyebrows, and his weird little open-mouthed smile kind of hypnotizing. and i think i love it so much because i recognize a lot of his expressions from 'school of comedy' where he is CONSISTENTLY AWESOME AND HILARIOUS and it's so weird because it's like he's not just putting it on for the camera, he really is just as funny and like naturally comedic in real life. IDK, I JUST LOVE WILL P.

OMG, GEORGIE'S FACE when she's all. "YES WE DID." it's so scrunchy and adorable. AND WILL'S LAUGHING FACE and all the stuff about benito distracting everyone with his hotness, and i am kind of weirdly into will and the way he says "it's so weird, but it's ben" and he looks to georgie for confirmation, and actually they kind of do that a lot, the two of them, and it's just super cute how they are kind of cracking each other up in this. AND EVERYONE HAVING BEARD BRUSHES. AND GEORGIE. GEORGIEEEE. AND BEN. ALL OF THEM. BEST CAST EVER. LEGITIMATELY, BEST CAST EVER.

Ikr? I can't tell if it's just that they're speaking quickly, and like, he actually says something like "Skandar, you" or "Skandar, he" and it merges together. But it seriously sounds like Skandy, in this and in that other one when Georgie says it. THE IDEA OF WILL P. CALLING HIM SKANDY IS JUST LIKE. I DON'T EVEN KNOW. TOO ADORABLE.

I TOTALLY KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN ABOUT WILL'S FACE. He has such a great face. ESPECIALLY WHILE LAUGHING. And I love that he looks to Georgie for confirmation, just those little bits where they're kind of talking to each other rather than the interviewer are really nice. BENITO DISTRACTING EVERYONE WITH HIS HOTNESS, YES. God, I love so much that he IS the one they think is the cheekiest and messes around the most on set, because it's kind of hilarious what with him being the eldest, and also it's like exactly what we always assumed. BENNNN.

How has no one commented on the fact that both Ben & Skandar, otherwise known as Ben/Skandar, BOTH have a cold!!??
What have you been doing boys? & why does just the thought that they spent a few days in close proximity to one another & possibly that alone was enough to trade germs (or it could have been the intense make out sessions, you never know) that they could in actuality have given each other a cold, which should be gross, or sad, but in fact, makes me all warm & fuzzy inside.

H/C? Yeah I definitely think some h/c is needed here.

Someone should be feeling rather guilty right about now-this could really effect Ben onstage, his voice, his 'stamina', he needs rest & to be taken care of (I am SO available btw).

& I'm not sure if everything regarding college is the same in the UK as it is in the US, but in the US people are taking exams and studying a lot right now-Skandar may be in the same boat-who is taking care of him? I wonder how he was able to get away to come to the US for promos?
How far is London from where he is going to college-Cambridge University right? Damn he must really be smart, & not just a smarty pants :D I love the idea that since Skandar is an adult, he & Ben could technically hang out, not that they probably ever would, but that they could just make me wonder all sorts of things. Like does Ben only see him as a 'kid' or does age not really matter to him? or the other way around-would Skandar want to hang out with someone who is older.

Age doesn't really matter to me personally, I chose who I spend time with based on the person, not how old they are. You miss out if you limit yourself. I'm not talking dating necessarily, just hanging and being friends. Romance is complicated, I still try and leave age out of the equation-but I am frequently perturbed by the fact that it's such a big deal for an older woman to date/be with, a younger man (I detest the term cougar) esp since it's so acceptable for a man to date a younger woman; it's like it doesn't even matter then.

I just would love to see Ben hanging out at a pub (not a bar, I know) kicking back and having a few beers with Skandar (& then returning to Ben's place, for a little King on King time-Ben has a sword! & hopefully his brother is out, cause that could be awkward-I so want to see what Jack looks like though)

I'm actually working on a h/c fic for them already, but based on the injuries they gave each other during filming, lol. All the swordfighting mishaps.

Idk about the university stuff either, but he's obviously managed to take a bit of time off to do this press somehow. Cambridge and London aren't that far away so the British press would've been easier.

Oooohh I'm intrigued by all the stuff you said about Ben/Skandar. I'm sure they do hang out - they seem very close, and they're probably two of the ones who live the nearest to each other but I'm not sure. I think Ben probably doesn't really see himself as being that much older, or if he does it doesn't bother him, because I think he and Skandar seem to be on the same sort of level, and with the way they've gotten to know each other their age difference probably wouldn't have seemed so significant. The thought of them having some beers and going back to Ben's place is making me go all flaily, oh man. (I wanna see what Jack looks like too.)

I totally agree with you about the whole age thing personally. Before my Dad's girlfriend was my Dad's girlfriend, she was like one of my closest friends, and I was 14 and she was like 40, so. I used to be friends with my older sister's friends too. It just doesn't really matter to me. There is definitely a double standard when it comes to dating like you say, though - a woman who dates a younger man is always seen as some kind of pervert, or desperate, but people hardly bat an eye if an older man is with a younger woman. Ugh.

Will P's as lovely as ever, and I love the fact that he got to take Esutace's diary home. Such a fab souvenir! I wonder if they actually went to the trouble of writing it all out properly. It would be fun to see the whole story from Eustace's point of view, rather than just the odd bit here and there :)

(Has anyone written Georgie/Will P yet? That would be so cute. I kind of ship them really hard, and for once it's one of those ships that doesn't have me thinking that I'm in need of seriously psychological help/jail :D)

I wondered that too! It really is an awesome souvenir. I don't think we ever see inside it, do we? But it would be nice if they went to the bother of writing in it anyway.

I've kind of written Georgie/Will P. It's the pairing in this ain't seaworld (http://likecharity.livejournal.com/124568.html), although the focus of that fic is really just Ben singing 'I'm On A Boat' all the time. It's also a very very background pairing in after the bars turn out their lights (http://likecharity.livejournal.com/87599.html). I really want to write something that gives the pairing more attention though, they're so cute!

I haven't been looking out for any Simon Pegg interviews, but there probably are some, seeing as Reepicheep has a fairly big role in the movie.

I CAN'T DECIDE ABOUT BEN'S BEARD EITHER. I think I started to become attracted to him when he had it, but then he got rid of it and my attraction remained. It's very strange, usually people look good one way and awful the other, but he manages to pull it off both ways.
