This is like, a Narnia updates megapost type thing. Only not particularly mega. It's just a few bits of news that I've been meaning to post.

Although before I get to that, I want to let you guys know that I'm having some laptop issues and am basically getting the blue screen of death at completely random moments. D: I've already had to do a full reinstall of Windows, and it's been like four days of computer stress so far. So if it's taking me a while to reply to comments/emails or read your fic or something, I'm not ignoring you, just having difficulties. ♥

Right, so Ben and Will P. did a little bit of promotion for the DVD release.






They did an interview together, and it's so so cute.

I love their friendship! And when asked who they would choose if they were forced to marry an Australian celebrity, Will blurts out "Hugh Jackman" which receives one of Ben's hilarious laughs. ♥ (And I have to admit I lol'd at "Natalie Imbruglia." "I'm torn.")

Will also went to a Killing Bono premiere (has anyone seen Killing Bono yet? How is it?) and said nice things about Ben:

Is there fic of them yet? Do I have to write it?

In other news, Anna is going to be in a new TV series called Brave New World, which is a 'workplace comedy that follows a group of unusual characters at Pilgrim Village, a theme park that specializes in recreations of New England in 1637'. Anna will play Maura Taft, a 'smoking hot dark-haired beauty, even swaddled in her bulky Pilgrim clothing'. Eh, sounds good to me.





Will has not vanished off the face of the earth either—he was spotted in Hollywood last month, sadly not having done anything about his hair and looking kind of like a douche.







And while I'm at it, two other things I have not commented on:

- the lack of cast commentary on the Dawn Treader DVD. I didn't want to say anything at first because the details of the special features were kind of vague, but now it seems pretty definite. And I mean, I know it's not a huge surprise what with how busy everybody seemed to be and how the promotion went, but...I'm still kind of heartbroken. :( The commentaries are my absolute favourite and I was really looking forward to hearing the four of them joking around together, seeing as they were split up for the promotional interviews so much. SIGH.

- The Magician's Nephew possibly being the next film in the franchise. I'm in two minds about it—on the one hand I'm just glad there's another movie planned at all, and plus, FINGERS CROSSED FOR MORE TILDA-AS-JADIS OH MY GOD, but also...it seems a little nonsensical to do that one when surely The Silver Chair is more logical what with Will P. not getting any younger and that mention of Jill at the end of Dawn Treader, etc.


I feel like I've forgotten something, but I'd better just hurry up and post this before my laptop blue screens again. :(

Aww! I would like to write it, I'm just trying to find some more specific inspiration I suppose. It might be nice to write something based around the fact that Ben was once new to the cast as well, like, so he sympathises with Will's nervousness about it at first or something.

That's so gutting. I love the commentaries, and I especially like reading your commentary on the commentaries.
Is it at all possible that they could maybe pull it out of the hat for the super 4 disc special edition that they're bound to do at some point? I know they're all kind of busy and all but really, it's sitting in a room and talking for a couple of hours, surely they can arrange half a day to sort that out. :/

I know we kind of discussed the question of whether The Silver Chair or The Magician's Nephew would be next a little while ago. Have you seen more about that?
It would be ridiculous if they went with The Magician's Nephew first. What earthly reason is there? So Will develops as an actor, or matures a little? He's already 18, for god's sake. How mature does he need to be? Eustace is 9 in The Silver Chair and while Will looks young for his age, he'll be 20 or more if they put another film in the way, and that's just silly.
I know there's no guaranteeing they're going to film all of them so we should be grateful for what we get. I just want to see them done right, and I really think Will was perfect as Eustace, so it would be a shame for him not to get the chance to reprise him.
However, more or less a whole film of Tilda as Jadis would be awesome, amd The Magician's Nephew would make a fab film. Plus, period dramas are popular, I suppose? I don't know, I'm conflicted. I suppose I just want them to make the film that ensures that they make more films :) (Especially The Horse and His Boy. I'm sure they can figure out a way not to make it kind of racist :/ )

I haven't really seen anything definite, but it just seems to be being mentioned more and more so I thought I'd weigh in. We definitely have the same thoughts on it, anyway - it really doesn't make sense. But I guess if they make another one at all, I'll be happy! I think it would make a really good film, too.

Sorry about your laptop issues - there's nothing worse. (I'm excluding war, famine, poverty etc in that statement obviously.) I've been having a nightmare too with update malfunctions etc. and even system restore didn't solve it - how is that possible? Why don't self-fixing computers exist yet? Haven't seen Killing Bono and don't really want to, but I have seen a few clips, and as rather an expert on the subject of Irish accents (in that, er... I have one, even though my Manx co-worker insists that I have "literally no discernable accent whatsoever"), his accent is AMAZING. Seriously. The rare few actors who manage a good realistic accent that fits what area they're supposed to be from still sound like they're 'doing an accent', but he honestly sounds like he was born and bred in Ireland. It's kind of creepy actually. And those photos in your post... why did you have to wear that shirt, Ben? Huh? Now I won't be able to stop thinking about you... Oh for christ's sake, Ben, just get in my pants and be done with it. And also, is he ever gonna look over 25?

I do feel a bit bad for him though, doesn't seem like he's been run down by the movie studioes the last couple of years. I thought he would become one of the "next big things", but alas. It's so weird, I cannot help but draw comparison between him and Ben, and Ben got a huge push by being in the Narnia franchise and has the world at his feet right now, but that doesn't seem to have been the case with William... Hmmm... angstfic anyone?
