That's a good point. It's just one of those little logistics things. But it does make sense that they'd be spending most of their time together right from the start, anyway, just because things would be different and it would feel most comforting to stick with the person they'd known the longest. And they wouldn't be like, shutting Will (or Ben) out, but maybe it would kind of seem like that at first, and that's what would first make him wonder about them.
Idk, would it maybe seem even more sudden to Ben if he missed the progression of it? He'd come back from training or whatever and be like WAIT when did you guys get so close?? So maybe Ben is just sort of absent on and off, which means he's kind of useless when it comes to reassuring Will about the whole thing.
