It's crazy! I usually think I'm good at telling twins apart, like even when other people think they look absolutely identical it seems fairly obvious to me, but with Jedward sometimes I'm just lost. I was watching a video the other day where I was absolutely convinced I was looking at John, and then after like two whole minutes he said "me and John" and I was like "woaaaaaaaaah what?" I think it's really cool though. Gah. Twins are so interesting.
Hm, that make sense. I think in a way that it would be really lovely, actually, to be that intensely close to someone, and I think that's part of my whole interest in incest in the first place - the idea of being with someone you've known all your life and someone you're totally comfortable with. I mean that's just me personally, because I find it hard to be at ease around other people, but you're right, it would be strange to not have anything new to gain from it. Then again, I guess it would be like that if you'd been in a relationship with someone for a really long time.
Ha, sorry, I mentioned that without going into it at all - I was just thinking of the times we've talked about The Kills and how attached to each other they are, and how the love they have is often viewed as unhealthy because it's so obsessive and they've cut off other parts of their lives for it. And I remembered you saying that you didn't agree with that view, but maybe I'm remembering wrong?! Anyway, it is a little different with twins. I'm not really sure if it's healthier one way or another. It's kind of like people just assume that's how it should be, simply because that's how the rest of us live. But obviously if they're forced to split up later in life, it would be a lot harder if they haven't gained any experience with that.
I'm not sure they do anything sexual either. Sometimes I'm absolutely convinced, just from these weird little moments with them, but it could be that I'm just seeing something I don't understand and leaping to what's (weirdly) the most logical conclusion. And it's the stuff like having a bath together, or their weird little kinky things they do, because I could see that as simply a childlike, innocent thing just as easily. Sort of like in The Dreamers where it's implied that Theo and Isabelle's relationship might not be sexual at all, but that it's more like they're two little kids who bathe together and sleep together and it doesn't mean anything, it's just that they haven't grown up.
