I think that makes sense. I mean, I don't quite get it personally because I'm not really sure if I believe in souls at all. But I understand it as like, a concept, and I don't think it's soppy. XD
That you didn't agree with people having the view that it's unhealthy! Not in like a big way, we were just talking about the whole idea of what people think is healthy or unhealthy and whether maybe finding someone you love that passionately is more important.
Yeah, that's what's so interesting about it - you instantly assume it's sexual because they're adults (or teenagers) and so even though YOUNG siblings might do that, it instantly takes on a sexual meaning because they're "too old" to behave that way. Plus the fact that Matthew comes between them the way that he does. I mean, I don't believe it's entirely innocent - in the book their relationship is quite explicitly sexual, and even in the film it's implied that there is a threesome at the end, but the little things like sleeping and bathing together are more childlike than incestuous. Which could easily be how it is for Jedward.
