Laughed out loud at the: "I imagine Russell is one of those straight men who assumes that every gay guy fancies him" bit. So true. Although to be fair I think Russel Brand thinks that every single person on this planet fancies him (apart from his mum probably).
As a tangent I loved the bit in his autobiography where he was talking about where he picked up some of his more camp mannerisms. He kept being mistaken for a girl so as a self defense thing to at least be taken for the right gender he'd start being super camp. There's something about that relating to gender performance and sexuality that I find really interesting.
