baby go crazy, break the rules
Sep. 28th, 2009 12:00 pmTHIS IS GOING TO BE A POST OF NARNIA-RANDOMNESS.
First of all, I saw Dorian Gray last night with the bff. I had kind of low expectations after reading
thisissirius and
th_esaurus's posts about it, haha, but...it was really pretty good. The sex scenes were pretty cheesy and there were a lot of bits where we laughed when we probably weren't supposed to, but all in all, I enjoyed it. I was really impressed with Ben, too! I think he struggles with crying and with looking scared sometimes, but wow, he's a better actor than Prince Caspian suggests (not that he was TERRIBLE in that, obvs).
( Not particularly spoilery, but just in case. )
And also, it made me want to write more Ben fic. I'm still not into Will/Ben but I think I'm of the opinion that there needs to be more Ben/Skandar in the world. And I'm definitely re-reading
hedonisticated's Ben/Colin Firth fic ASAP. (I actually remembered it halfway through the movie and got very excited at the prospect of rereading it. Because I'm lame.)
ALSO, last night while I was getting ready to go out, AN ADVERT FOR SCHOOL OF COMEDY CAME ON E4. Will P. on my TV screen?? HOORAY. I hunted down clips of that show on Youtube shortly after finding out who Will was, but then I totally forgot about it. So I'm excited about this. And feel oddly proud of him.
Aaaand, new Anna pictures! GORGEOUS AS ALWAYS. ♥

( More. )
Also, I went to see 500 Days of Summer last weekend. I really, really loved it. I sort of knew I would, because I'm madly in love with Zooey and JGL and have been waiting for it for ages, but it totally lived up to my expectations. I definitely DID NOT EXPECT for Summer to be QUITE so much of a heartless bitch, so that was painful, and Sally was complaining about how it doesn't have a happy ending, but honestly, I quite liked that. It's unusual and it fit with the movie--it would have seemed boring and kind of hypocritical if it had ended happily. I kind of want to go see it again just because I could watch those two making out on the big screen forever, pretty much. ♥
Finally, I once again apologise for being distant lately and for the lack of fic. Actually, in the past week I've really had the urge to write again, but unfortunately my schoolwork has arrived now and I also seem to have a social life at the moment. Which is weird. I'm going to see Simon Amstell doing stand-up tonight!!! But yes, so I'm going to try harder to get things in order. I really miss all of you guys. *hugs entire flist*
