I'm not much of a het person either but certain pairings intrigue me, and if there's incest involved I'm pretty much there. Although I have serious issues writing het sex explicitly. I mean, I can do it, but for some reason I get all squicked out. Haha. I know what you mean about Cassie/Sid being dull, I feel the same way - I don't mind writing/reading them, as well as Tony/Maxxie, but only if it's done creatively.
