WHAT THE HELL. This is really stupid, right, but I JUST FOUND OUT THAT I HAD SOME OF THE 'SOS' LYRICS WRONG IN MY MIND. D:

I always thought it was "next time I see you, I'm givin' you a high five, cause I'm too over-rated, just FYI" and I JUST FOUND OUT THAT INSTEAD, IT IS THE RIDICULOUSLY LAME "cause hugs are over-rated just FYI". AND IT'S A MILEY REFERENCE? GAH.

Looool this really shouldn't bother me but IDK, I always thought that "I'm too over-rated" was kind of a cool thing for them to sing, and...the fact that it's HUGS is just kind of stupid.

ALSO I remember hearing a version once where it totally sounds like Nick sings "cause sex is over-rated" BUT AM I MAKING THAT UP? IF NOT, SOMEBODY MUST KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT. Eh, the lyrics of that song always kind of bugged me anyway because in the chorus it's "I gave my all for you" and it sounds awkward being 'for' instead of 'to'.

And just to reiterate how uncool I am, I totally bought Camp Rock chocolates today.



They even come with a keyring. I can't decide whether I'm uncool enough to actually put that on my keys, though.

Oh! AND. You should read this amazingly amazing Kings of Leon fic by jrocksee. It's called And Your Soul Smells Of Sulphur and it's Jared/Matthew and sort of UST Caleb/Nathan, rated R. It ties in with the Sex on Fire video in this really incredibly, clever, creepy way, and there's possession and biblical references and awesome imagery and just, nngh, read it. And then watch the Sex on Fire video. And then read it again. That may or may not be what I did.

That's okay, I thought, "adieu to you and all your games, and all your crazy fans" was "i do see you and all your games, and all your crazy friends". I mean, I knew it SOUNDED like an a after the F, but people fuck up syllables all the time when singing.

Also, cause hugs are overrated, just FYI is maybe the greatest lyric I've ever heard in my entire fucking life. No lie. It makes me giggle every time. EVERY SINGLE TIME. It is also why I have icons with the keywords "mus; joe&nick; hugs" and "mus; joe&nick; hugs are overrated" and the latter is a picture of them high-fiving. I'm THAT cool.

I think you should put it on your keychain and be one of those people that are so cool, you can do uncool things. Like how all the cool kids in high school had like, Ninja Turtles and My Little Pony and Dora backpacks and folders and shit like that (i totally had care bears, hehe). So, I say go for it!

Side Note: today in my Patient Care class, I totally got in a conversation about the Hannah Montana Movie, and about how one of the ladies in my class has seen it three times. Haha. In fact, my whole class regularly gets into conversations about the Disney Channel and how much we love it. It all started because we spent like, two weeks on diabietes, and we had to give ourselves insulin shots so for two weeks, I was all "NICK JONAS!!!!" every seven seconds, and pretty much made a gigantic dork of myself, but it was okay, because everyone else was all "ZOMG! Wizards of Waverly Place! And Hannah Montanah!" and yeah, it has pretty much just evevated from there, hehe.

Burnin' Up: for a million years I thought he said "I'm slippin' into the love, uh, trying to keep from goin' under" INSTEAD OF THE FAR MORE LOLTASTIC "slippin' into the lava" Serious guys? Lava? I get the song is called Burning Up but. Really? Lava? METAPHORS!!!!!

Just Friends: I AM STILL CONVINCED HE IS ACTUALLY SAYING THIS AT THE BEGINNING: "There she goes again... the girl I made love with." I know it's supposedly "I'm in love with" but no matter how many times they post those lyrics, NICK IS ACTUALLY SAYING "MADE LOVE WITH" And it's cool, cause they're just friends. With benefits.

You know, I love how you talk about silly fangirl things like buying those chocolates. Totally the kind of things I could do but should never talk about on LJ (I'm already close to have lost all my oldest LJ friends partly because of what they consider very bad and ridiculously immature taste in music). Anyway. I hadn't even heard any of the Jonas brothers' songs before but I'm curious, so I clicked on the link you gave in a comment and...well, I agree, it doesn't sound like "hugs are" at all! lol

Also, I read your "crossover RPF" with them and Will and Skandar and I liked them so much I also read the Joe/Nick fic (I really like it too, and I don't care if I didn't know who they were before you start slashing them with Will and Skandar). Now I'll never be able to avoid thinking of your fics when I see Camp Rock merchandise in a Disney store (which is rather often because my sister works in Disneyland Paris). And the black and gold bag that always reminded me of "Will's gay shirt" will now reminds me of "Will and Joe's gay shirt". ^^

okay this is probably not the right post for this comment, but whatever. Okay so like two weeks ago my friend Michael was like, 'HALEY, LISTEN TO THIS SONG, KTHNX BYE', and I was like 'OKAI'. It was use somebody by Kings of Leon and I listened to it so much it's now at the top of my most listened to sonhgs. whoopee!

So then I came on lj and saw you were all into them too and I was like cool! But I wasn't really attracted to any of them - UNTIL I SAW THE 'SEX ON FIRE' VIDEO WHERE CALEB IS LIKE WRITHING AROUND ON THAT TABLE HOLY ***SHIT****

oh yeah, and (this is actually what this comment is about) the new issue of seventeen magazine has the JB's write down their fave. songs for summer - one of joe's is USE SOMEBODY and he calls KOL his fave. band of 08/09 - I think it;s the newest issue.
