I was going to go to bed, but then my attention was brought to two videos of Skandar and Georgie petting lion cubs and I couldn't let that go unposted.

THEY ARE MY FAVOURITE KIND OF VIDEO, i.e. the casual kind where people are just being filmed and it's not all interview-y so you get to see how they genuinely interact. I'm a creep.

GEORGIE'S FLAPPY HANDS AFTER PETTING THE LION. AND HER "OH, 'ELLO!" AND HOW SHE IS ASKING QUESTIONS ABOUT THEIR WEIGHT AND HEALTH. And when one of them yawns and Skandar is like *retracts hand*

Georgieee. So pretty, and it's so cute how you can tell how excited she is about the lions, and how she goes "rawr" imitating them. And how the two of them consider trading in their pet cats for lion cubs.

Georgie: I do love my cat, but, I'm just thinking...
Skandar: Yeah, any day of the week, any day of the week.
Georgie: ...to have a lion cub in your house...

And then when Georgie tells Skandar some story about her sister's flatmate I WAS WEIRDLY TRANSFIXED BY THEM HAVING A CONVERSATION LIKE NORMAL PEOPLE. WHAT IS MY LIFE.

Other things: Skandar, what is this new unattractive laugh you have developed, please abandon it immediately. And I am intrigued by the purplish-red mark on your jaw. JUST SAYIN'.

Oh, oh, and there was also this video of Skandar on a news show while he was in NY.

IN A PERIOD OF 24 HOURS THEY WERE IN FOUR STATES. Yikes. Also, I am enjoying imagining him and Georgie doing some Christmas shopping together in New York. Basically there is nothing particularly new in this. I just like listening to him talk.


OKAY BEDTIME NOW. Dammit, Narnia fandom. (Ilu really.)

THIS IS EXACTLY HOW I FEEL. Someone who's new to the fandom was like "I don't like Skandar's laugh," and I was like, well, me neither, but I'M SURE I NEVER USED TO HAVE A PROBLEM WITH IT? So I'm thinking it's a new development. It sort of sounds like that awkward laugh you do when you're not entirely comfortable in the situation and you're just laughing 'cause it feels like you should. It's not really a genuine laugh, which makes me kinda sad. :(

I KNOW I'M BASICALLY JUST TINHATTING HERE BUT I'M CHOOSING TO BELIEVE IT'S DUE TO LACK OF WILL. I think that he and Will just bounced off each other so well, and he's so used to doing interviews WITH Will, that now that Will's not there he feels sort of out of place. I don't know.

LOL you are kind of really tinhatting, but I agree, it makes sense! They have a banter, whereas he and Georgie, while adorable together, don't really have the easy going (b)romance banter.
