Um. Continuing with the "make ALL THE THINGS" stage of my Weeds obsession, I made a fanvid focusing on season 6 (otherwise known as the most amazing season of anything ever). The song is 'Black Tongue' by Yeah Yeah Yeahs.

Vidding always looks so hard, and I'm always rather in awe of people who can do it, especially the ones who make it look easy.
For something you're still not too comfortable with, you've done a really good job with this! It's a fabulous choice of song, and the editing is excellent. The show's still a complete mystery to me - never seen a single episode - but this definitely makes me want to check it out :)

Aw yay, thank you! It's so much more FIDDLY than anything else I do, and it can be so frustrating when things go wrong. But it's really fun at the same time, so I like experimenting with it. :)

LOL I have so much to catch up with at the moment, the though of embarking on a show that's already in its 6th (or 7th?) season is kind of scary, especially as I'm constitutionally incapable of not starting at the beginning and watching every single episode, in order ;/
Still, I'm definitely interested, so I'm pretty determined to check it out.

I only found Hyperbole and a Half last week! I've seen 'clean all the things' around so much, so I finally cracked and googled it. And god, how many people in fandom wouldn't be able to see themselves in 'reasons why I'll never be an adult'? Really not very many, I reckon :D

Totally understandable! There are so many shows I want to try but I'm always like "HOW many seasons?" But I will say that Weeds is worryingly easy to marathon, because both the episodes and the seasons are short, and most episodes end with a cliffhanger. It might just be me, but I've managed to get through a scary amount in the past week, and even when I watched it the first time and wasn't really enjoying it, I still got through it crazy fast. Seasons 4 and 5 are a bit of a downer though and a lot harder to watch, just a warning.

Haha, definitely. I love it. The Alot (http://hyperboleandahalf.blogspot.com/2010/04/alot-is-better-than-you-at-everything.html) is also one of my favourites, I think of it whenever I see someone type it that way.

Oh my god, I never read the Alot entry before - now it'll be all I see. I used to spell it 'alot' (lots of people do where I'm from, not sure why), so 'a lot' actually looks weird to me, but now I'm just going to be reading about a furry creature all the time.

AUGH YOU ARE THE BEST. I had a doctor's appointment this morning and I was all nervous and I was like I'LL JUST QUICKLY CHECK MY EMAIL BEFORE I GO and I saw this and it made me so happy. ♥

ALSO IT IS A GOOD SIGN. YOU WILL TOTALLY LOVE SEASON SIX. I PROMISE. Season five is pretty awesome for fucked up family stuff, too, but less entertaining overall. UGH I CAN'T WAIT TIL YOU GET THAT FAR.

There should TOTALLY be road trip fic. Back when I wrote my Silas/Shane fic, I was considering another one all about the road trip aspect and how they were constantly around each other and getting kind of claustrophobic and sick of each other and it all turning sexual just because of the proximity issue. There's a scene where Shane says to Silas "we live in like six feet of space, we no longer have any secrets" which is basically what gave me the idea.

I HAVE TO HOLD BACK THOUGH because I ship like, basically every Botwin with every other Botwin in one way or another, and so that combined with road trips and being together 24/7 and my penchant for orgies - BAD IDEA BAD IDEA. (Although something whereby each Botwin is sleeping with at least one other Botwin and sometimes it happens under the same roof and eventually it gets to the point where no one minds - that'd be more acceptable, right? OH GOD WHAT EVEN)

ANYWAY WOW TANGENT. One of my favourite things about this season is Shane's total lack of remorse for the whole murder thing, I DO NOT KNOW WHY, but he's amazing, joking about it and totally failing to see why it's such a big deal. So. You will enjoy that probably. Plus, that scene where Shane takes the gun from Nancy - GOD it is so amazing I won't say anything else, just wait til you get there omg.

THE SCENE WITH SILAS SIGNING IS MY FAVOURITE. I think the best bit, though, is how Andy and Nancy clearly don't know what he's saying, until the 'blow me' bit and then Andy is like "oh, I see" and his expression is hilarious.

Family moments that go a little too far = the Botwin family, summed up. I know I have incest goggles and that's probably what most of this is, but yeah. SILAS GRABBING SHANE'S HAIR. Totally a thing. Especially because he holds onto it throughout the entire conversation.

Oh god and the ending, riiiight? THIS VIDEO HAS BASICALLY SPOILED THE WHOLE SEASON FOR YOU, but I'm not sure I care because your comment is so lovely. ♥ Thank you so muuuuuch.

OH DARN. and i keep imagining silas and shane getting together because if they can't have nancy they might as well have each other and then nancy sees them or something and sleeps with andy and maybe andy and silas are doing such and such and it all sort of gets out of control but in a super good way that i'd be totally for? yup.

sooo i've been kinda slow on catching up because all my friends are leaving for college so i've been trying to spend time with them but i will be back on track soon enough! because this is a thing now and i need it /replay

EXACTLY, IT IS JUST SO TEMPTING TO INVOLVE EVERYBODY. silas and shane getting together because if they can't have nancy they might as well have each other - YES, THIS. That's basically how I see it happening for them. Oooh, and I could see Nancy kind of freaking out about the whole thing and ending up going to Andy for comfort. And everything just being so crazy that it doesn't even matter that all of this is happening under the same roof. Like Nancy just tries not to ever think about it, and Andy probably finds it kind of awesome, and Silas and Shane probably get off on it.

STUPID REAL LIFE GETTING IN THE WAY OF WEEDS. I'm glad you're gonna keep going with it though! I can't wait til you get to the later seasons omg
