I've heard a fair bit about Hannibal and I'm really curious about it. Of course, given how behind I invariably am with everything it'll probably get me a good couple of years to get round to checking it out : But I will one day, I think.
Do you have any thoughts on it? I know 3 of the films (have there only been 3? Manhunter, Silence of the Lambs, and Hannibal? Was Red Dragon a remake of Manunter?) so I know the basic idea, and I love Will Graham's character in Manhunter (though I think Michael Mann's directions let the film down badly), and I like the idea of seeing the relationship between between Will and Hannibal before. Hee, it looks like I'm talking myself into watching it :D

I haven't actually seen any of the films or read the books, so I can't offer an opinion on how the show is in connection to them, but I think it's really, really good as its own thing. It's incredibly gory and you probably already know how squeamish I am, but even that hasn't managed to make me stop watching, so that's saying a lot I think!! It stresses me out because I have to close my eyes so often and sometimes even just knowing what's happening makes me feel a bit sick, but I'm completely hooked. It's just so compelling and I'm so fascinated by the dynamic between Will and Hannibal. And it's beautifully filmed, too. I definitely recommend checking it out if you ever get around to it!
