Am I the only one who didn't know that Andrew Adamson is really religious?

Like, I seriously don't know if I'm really stupid and somehow managed to miss that, or if it's just never been mentioned before. From a recent Will interview:

Spielfilm.de: Narnia is based on Christian motivation and Andrew Adamson is very religious. Do you noticed that on set?

William: Yes, he took the whole thing very personal, at the first film more than on the second. I think, at the second he overdid himself a little bit. It's quite interesting, though, pretty detailed. I didn't know Anna failed her driving test three times and still hasn't got her license, aww. I didn't know Will still lives with his parents, either! Which I actually find really annoying, because I adore Zooey, and, well, you know how I feel about Katy Perry. So this'd be a weird way of dealing with it. Also, I found out today that they have actually met! Which is strange. I bet Zooey was all "stop trying to be me, bitch."

Incidentally, this song I'm listening to would go pretty well with the fic, at least from the Katy Perry standpoint.

I really think that's a translation error or something. I'm a kiwi and Andrew's a local boy and he's done a lot of radio and tv press about this over the last six years. He is not overly religious at all. This interview was translated from German to English. I think something was jsut lost in translation. One of the reasons he's so unpopular over at Narniaweb is because it's well known he's not what this interview says he is. He respects Lewis's original message, but he brings in his own as well [like beefing up Susan's role despite the fact she was not supposed to fight even though she's the best archer in Narnia]. The interview was originally in German so there is a bit lost in translation, or they just took it out of context. He is not really religious. Pretty much all the interviews he does [the NZ ones are bset since he's more open on home soil] he covers this issue.

What'd you thikn about the rest of the interview? It was pretty detailed. He forgot to mention his joint love for cock and pussy. Okay, i'm just being cheeky here. I can't remember the last 'thing' I sent you, but one of these days we'll need to get up to speed in that department. Bye!

Ohhh, I see. Okay. Yeah, it did seem like a few things got mangled in the translation so that doesn't surprise me. I thought it was odd that I'd never seen him mentioned as being religious before anywhere? I thought I would've heard something about it, at least. So yeah, thanks for that. :)
