WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT BULLSHIT?

Ugh. I don't even. I can find ways to excuse most of the (few, imo) mistakes the writers make, but seriously? Seriously? I'm so mad right now. They had so much potential with this cast and these characters, and they just threw it all away.

I was already unsure about watching the next gen because the writing does seem to have gotten progressively worse, and because my favourite character will now no longer be around. And now...I'm pretty sure I'm done.

*sigh* It's so hard for me to say/feel all this, you guys, because this show is so close to my heart.

I love how Freddie died (or idk...did he die?) last episode and we got about 3 minutes of Cook actually looking for Freddie. Stupid writers.

Yeah, I'm not even sure I'm watching the next generation right now.

UGH, SERIOUSLY. Why even bother killing a character if you're barely even going to ADDRESS it in the one episode that's left?!

I feel your pain, bb. Words can't even describe my devastation over the way this generation ended.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. I hope the writers get message that most of the fans are pissed, 'cause they're really going to have to step it up for me to stick with the show. :/

well, looks like I'm in no rush to watch it based on everyone's reactions of DISAPPOINTMENT.

I agree with you on all fronts. I was so disappointed in this entire series, honestly. There were shining moments/episodes, but I ended up not liking more than half of it. The same goes for the third series. I was cautious to watch the third & fourth series, actually, because I loved the first generation so much that I thought they were probably going to destroy the show by going on with a completely different cast, aside from Kaya. And, quite unfortunately, they proved me right.

I just. I don't know what to think, because I used to love this show with all that I had, and it breaks my heart.

(However: COOK. HE IS MY FAVORITE. FOREVER. COOKIE.)

Yeah, that's the thing, there were some moments and even episodes that were awesome, but overall it just...sucked. Now that you mention it, I guess it was the same with the third series too. And ugh, it's so awful, because I had such faith in the writers and felt confident they'd be able to create another generation and another bunch of episodes we'd all love, even though so many people thought they'd destroy the show. And...they basically did destroy it.

I'M COOOOK!

Yeah, that and Karen actively searching for Freddie were about the best parts. Don't get me wrong it was a good episode, but in no way a finale. We got asked a lot more questions than were answered.

Cook and Karen broke my heart, just broke my heart. Whether he makes it out of that basement or not, he's done. He died with Freddie.

Poor Cookie, I'll miss him always.

R.I.P. Freddie.

Yeah! The episode itself wasn't bad at all, it would've been fine mid-series, but as a finale it was fucking ridiculous. I don't understand why they'd decide to create the whole crazy therapist storyline only one episode before the end of the season. So stupid.

Ugh, I know. ;_; Cook and Karen worrying about him and pretty much being the only ones who were...it was so sad.

WTF was that about. I just watched it. And. What. The. Fuck. It was such a waste of time and space. You're right: they've thrown it all away.

Seriously. :/ I'm glad everyone seems to feel the same way though, because I kind of want the writers to get the message and like...idk, realise how badly they messed up? I don't even know. It's just such a shame. :(

wow. i just emerged from a very very long break from live journal, and any fanfiction related things. thanks to fringe for temporarily reviving it and jeremiah for completion :P i've missed reading your posts very much. . . i agree with you on most points, particularly this!!! WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO SKINS?!?! i agree that the cast had a lot of potential. . . they just screwed things up so bad. it wasn't a very good season at all. almost stopped watching 7th episode. I hope they learn from their mistakes.

also on a completey different side note - you've revived my love for the dead weather!

I'm glad you agree!! There was so much potential, they had a talented cast and they'd created really interesting characters. But the majority of the storylines were just stupid. And even the good ones, they didn't carry them out well. I hope they learn from their mistakes too.

Yaaay The Dead Weather! They're awesome. ♥ I'm glad to get you back into them, and I'm flattered you missed my posts! :)

on the point of jj, i agree with you that somehow, the girl - her name has evaded me - doesn't seem to quite fit for jj. he doesn't seem to suit her, but i did adore him carrying around a baby, so cute :3

yes i was quite peeved today; i read in a magazine that the dead weather were in australia this month and i missed them :( very annoyed. I blame the magazine not being in stock for ages.

What. Just...what? To say that was disapointing is an understatement. I watched the season two finale today, and lo, it made me happy. Skins, I miss the old you. Come back? *gives puppy dog eyes to the writers* I hope the talented Skins cast's careers can survive this awful writing!
