I like to imagine this is Ben literally running from the premiere to the theatre for his Birdsong performance. Have we talked about what a mindfuck that must be, by the way? He's said that he has to just sit in his dressing room for a while after each performance, still in costume, and just take everything in. And for him to go from that to an afterparty for a Narnia movie premiere...is gonna be WEIRD. Fic ideas, anyone?

wow, Georgie looks so grown-up, I am -- equal parts weirded out and impressed. She looks awesome. And Anna looks ridiculously hot.

Georgie smiles when she feels the hand on her back and steps a closer to Ben's side. He's warm and inviting and the way he's leaning against her, almost sheilding her is different from the way Will used to do it. He'd be obvious and outright warn people off. Ben is more subtle, angling his body and grinning at whatever camera is pressed in his way but he sheilds her all the same, fingers running in soft circles against the back of her dress.

As he guides her away, back towards the cinema she looks up at him from under her eyeslashes but he's not looking at her, he's smiling at somebody else.

He's beautiful, she realises. Handsome and inviting and she loves that it's her. He's watching out for her and when he presses a kiss to her temple as they move inside the door, she thinks maybe something else as well.

Will's new enough to the premiere thing that he's a little lost. His smiles probably look silly and he doesn't know how to stand or hold himself or even move without wondering if he'll look stupid in the photos.

When Other Will slides up behind him and rests a hand on his shoulder he relaxes a fraction. "Relax," Other Will says, voice low. "Just be natural; they already love you."

It could be a lie but Will doesn't let it show, just flashes a smile and waits for the others to gather for the group photo.

When they're done, Other Will keeps his hand on Will's shoulder and guides him around. Will's not sure what the intent is, here, but he's grateful. Ben and Skandar have been awesome but they're absent, mingling and reuniting with friends. It's nice that Other Will is looking out for him.

(Will knows there was resentment at first because he used to hear Skandar and Other Will arguing about it)

"Okay?" Other Will asks eventually.

Will isn't lying when he says, "Yeah."

I guess I'll start at the top-oh wow Skandar, always so cute, but now such a man. I love that he's in a suit with a bow tie. I'd usually say something about guys like 'they clean up good' or something like that, but these guys always look good (some just don't always dress well...)

Will P, looks like such a sweet guy, and wearing black on black, what a rebel haha. I like his hair much better like this. I don't know whether he's not one for photographs or they just kept getting him pulling an odd face..hmm?

Georgie-good grief she's gorgeous! I love her dress, though I think the hight difference is coming from a monster pair of heels, I don't think she's THAT tall. But she has definitely grown into a beautiful young woman. Who has totally wrapped Ben around her finger!

Anna is a bombshell-but could somebody get her a wrap or something, she's gotta be frozen. I want pics from later of her wearing one of the guys jackets!!

Ben & Georgie-I saw the pic of her sitting on his lap from the PC set, so adorable but now they are, I don't even know what, but it's hot. She has such an interesting relationship with the boys, I love it! And each one quite different...so many scenerios!

Anna grins and pulls Will into her arms, kissing his cheek. She leaves a mark behind but she doesn't tell him. She's sure someone will let him know before he makes a fool of himself.

"I've missed you," she says, squeezing him.

(His hair looks ridiculous but she figures he knows already so she doesn't say anything, smothering a giggle behind a composed smile. The twinkle in his eye tells her she doesn't quite suceed)

"I've missed you too."

They sit together, shifting in their seats until their arms are pressed close. There feels like there's a lot unfinished between them but she ignores it. It's obviously a time for new beginnings; she can see Georgie, Will P. and Skandar pressed together, heads huddled and vicious whispers. Anna grins.

Will peers over her shoulder and she catches the wistful look on his face; it doesn't matter now, they're all done. All finished. It should hurt but it doesn't. She curls her fingers around Will's and pulls his hand into her lap.

It's a new start; fresh and wide and open.

Skandar is shifting from foot to foot.

He hasn't been to one of these things in two years and he's well aware of that. He's less awkward now, smoother as he steps onto the red carpet. He's done plenty of them but it never gets old; the flash of the camera and the faces all around.

"Hey," Anna says, sliding up next to him. She's gorgeous and he stares; he can't help it. "Skandar."

She's chastising but calm, a wide smile on her face and he sniffs, curling an arm around her shoulders. He's missed her - and Will - and it's nice to have them back. He remembers how they used to fit and it's easier now in a way it could never have been before their seperation.

He kisses her neck, guides her back into the throng of people. There's an after party and he finds he doesn't really want to be here.

Anna catches his hand but she's still smiling at other people, working the room like they used to. He does the same but they're still together; still tied at the hand.

It's comforting and safe and he likes it.

OH GODDDD SKANDAR/ANNA. Oh god. Negl, one of my (many) thoughts when I saw Anna's cleavage tonight was SKANDAR WON'T BE ABLE TO STOP HIMSELF FROM STARING. And Anna gently chastising him for that is just lovely, as is them holding hands and her being so effortlessly comfortable with the whole event and him not being, at all. And the sense that it means so much to him and it's just...how things are, to her. I MISSED THEM.

It's like a punch to the stomach.

Skandar steps around the crowd and there he is. If it wasn't for the ridiculous hair making Skandar want to laugh, he'd probably do something else. (That's his fault, too. Retaliation for Prague and he's not sorry.)

They don't get to talk before the performance or after it, there's too much going on but when Skandar is done with crowd mingling, he manages to spot Will, standing in the corner like a wallflower.

"Done chasing wolves?"

It's the first thing they've said to each other in ages and it hurts because its not what Skandar was expecting.

"You done pretending I don't exist?"

It's not fair; none of this is. It's been too long and they've been apart too long but Skandar still aches. He avoids public functions and places where the cast of a new movie should be because he's been scared of this;

Skandar hates admitting to being cowardly.

"Hey," Will says, contrite. "I'm sorry."

"Whatever," Skandar says, and steps up close. Will's eyes are wary but they're not angry and he's not being pushed away.

Skandar lets his fingers run through Will's hair and he wants to laugh so he kisses Will instead, drawing it out and adding a little tongue; anything to get Will interested again.

There's a distance between them he wants to bridge and he'll be damned if he lets Will get away again.

"Hey," Will repeats as they pull away. "It's okay."

It's not. It's not okay but Skandar smiles anyway, putting his hands either side of Will's face and pulling him back in for a kiss.

Like. I don't know what it is but I love the whole thing where the event is actually the first time they see each other after however long, because there's something so interesting and painful about seeing each other like that but not actually getting a chance to talk. And I love the idea of Skandar wanting to avoid these things because of his worries about Will, and how he doesn't want to admit that to himself, and how they're not REALLY angry because they just miss each other, and and and.

Aw, I love the dress! I don't mind the length 'cause it looks kind of retro and that suits her. And I don't mind how low-cut it is either. ;) I get what you mean about her looking good anyway though - she could pretty much wear anything and still look gorgeous.

You're SO right about Ben/Georgie and him not going for it until she's older. Like I feel like there would PROBABLY be feelings there, deep down inappropriate feelings that he would refuse to acknowledge. But the reason it sort of works is that Georgie would MAKE him acknowledge them. And make him feel okay about it. God, I'm still shocked by how much I love them all of a sudden.

Ahaha I get the feeling Skandar is pleased with himself every time he manages to dress up, at all. I hope we'll still be hearing of him when he's in his thirties! He said something in an interview recently about how he could never act again and be okay with that, and it made me sad. :(

Awww. It's true. It's the least drama-y fandom I've ever been in. It's not like there aren't any other awesome fandoms, it's just that most of them seem to have their share of ship-wars and all that, and I just haven't come across that here. Maybe it's just because EVERYONE is so amazing that we all accept that all the pairings make some sort of sense. But don't feel like you're missing out! Things are just heating up again with this movie so you can still get involved. :D
