♥_♥ WHY. WHY ARE THEY SO ADORABLE? WHY DO THEY LOOK SO IN LOVE? WHY DOES IT LOOK LIKE BEN IS PROPOSING IN THAT SECOND ONE? WHYYYYY ARE THESE SO SMALL? Srsly though, you guys, their FACES. Their HANDS. I can't even, with these two.

Speaking of Ben/Georgie, I still have this really strong desire for a fic in which Ben is head-over-heels like RIDICULOUSLY in love with Georgie but entirely oblivious to his own feelings (in denial, essentially), and wanting to see her all the time and spend time with her and buy her things and Georgie is sort of like "huh, okay, well this is nice", and everyone else is like "uh, Ben..." and he's just like "ISN'T GEORGIE THE BEST? :D" and eventually someone sits him down and is like "this is a little bit inappropriate, you seem to be crushing on a fifteen year old" and he's like "what an absurd idea--OH GOD."
Anyway, I guess I might update this if higher quality ones turn up? I HOPE THEY DO, I NEED TO SEE THE HAND-CLASPING/LOVING GAZES IN HQ.
Also, Georgie did these audition videos for a movie called The Expatriate, here and here, and the emotional bits are really impressive. This inspired

merae to write a really devastating but amazing fic called Small Bird of a Hand, which I recommend.I feel like I must have other things to update about. Um. Did I mention I finally watched Inception? I KNOW IT TOOK ME LIKE FOREVER, OKAY, BUT I'VE SEEN IT TWICE NOW AND I REALLY LOVE IT. I'm kind of open to any ships (especially involving Arthur ♥, but excluding Ariadne/male, simply because I have a mental block there in that ELLEN PAGE IS A LESBIAN) and would like some recs if you have any? Have any of you guys written for the fandom? I basically ignored everything about it before because I hadn't seen the movie, but now I obviously want to explore. Ridiculously late to the party I knooooow.
I also watched The Social Network...which I really did not enjoy. I'M SO SORRY, FLIST, I TRIED. BUT NO. I was worried I might just watch it and be indifferent and not really get the hype, but I actively disliked it, and I'm so disappointed by that. Let's just not talk about it. (I still think Jesse Eisenberg and Andrew Garfield are really sweet and in love, though? So there's that?)
I've also somehow managed to watch two seasons of Criminal Minds in like, a stupidly short amount of time, and I'm really enjoying it, mostly because I've fallen madly in love with Reid. Which was predictable. Seriously, though, it's like they created a character based purely on 'things Jenny finds attractive in men'. WOULD WELCOME RECS FOR THAT TOO. Basically shipping Reid/everyone so far, but mostly Reid/Hotch and Reid/Morgan. OBVIOUSLY.

I ship Arthur/Eames (like almost everyone) and also Robert/Eames and all three of the together.
And I'm sick of the amount of Ariadne/Arthur fics (basically I can't stand het) because I also think she's a lesbian....
Didn't watch The Social Network and I don't feel bad for not watching it. I'm not a fan of Facebook at all....
Also, Georgie opened a Facebook. She talked about it on her twitter....took her a long time to decide on a name lol

I hate Facebook, so maybe that interfered with my reaction to the movie, but idk...and re: Georgie, I thought none of the Narnia cast had Twitter? I can't remember if she's said anything specifically, but I seem to remember them announcing that any Twitter/Facebook accounts of them were fakes.

The acting, the script, the pace and the way it was filmed - all of that was amazing. It's just that I didn't enjoy it. I think it was partly that I didn't feel any sort of emotional attachment to any of the characters, like, Eduardo was the only likeable one to me, but I honestly found it hard to feel sympathy for him and didn't feel that affected by the whole break-up thing because I didn't feel like I understood why he and Mark were friends in the first place. Like, if I felt like that made sense, it might have had more of an emotional impact, but as it was...I don't know, I just wondered why he was friends with him at all. Idk. I was vaguely intrigued by their relationship, but not as much as I expected to be from what I'd heard about it. I just...hated Mark sfm that it made it difficult to care about him and his relationships, I suppose. It just made me angry.
Plus, I hate Facebook with like a burning passion, and idk, the movie sort of made me hate it more, and also college, and also people a little bit. Gah, it's so hard to explain my feelings on it because I don't think I entirely understand them - I just know that I actively disliked it, but I know it's not that it was actually a bad movie. It just didn't do it for me. It sort of seemed like there was just this overriding theme of 'rich white guys being assholes to other rich white guys' and maybe I couldn't see past that and appreciate other aspects of the movie, or something.
I actually have been thinking about this a lot, lol, because so many people that I have things in common with have become obsessed with it, and so I'm surprised that I've had this opposite reaction and I sort of want to understand that. And it's weird, because I can sort of see why the Mark/Eduardo relationship is interesting, and why that might be what makes the movie such a THING, but even though I see that objectively I just don't feel it. And that makes me sad, because I wanted to. :(
I HOPE THAT MADE SOME SORT OF SENSE.

aww, thank you. :3 It really means a lot to me that I was able to write loss and grief in a way that actually emotionally affected people who read it. That's not easy to do and it certainly isn't expected when you sit down to write it.

Inception was probably my favourite film of last year, it's just fabulous. I don't know much about the fandom except that Arthur/Eames is super-popular, which isn't surprising because the chemistry is pretty off the charts, and they're all sorts of cute with they're bickering and all :)
Be sure to pass on the recs if you find any good fics :)
