hardparadeHEY so I kind of forgot about the fact that the Narnia cast might still be like, going to events and stuff. (Except Ben, obvs, with Killing Bono and everything.)
And then there were the Empire Awards and this heart-meltingly sweet moment occurred and I was all preoccupied with realising that I ship James McAvoy/Keira Knightley and like, duh, why did I not realise that before, and then I wanted to write them and part of my brain was like "Hey, you also wanted to write James with Ben?" and so it just added him into the mix, and I was like "MAYBE BEN WAS AT THESE AWARDS TOO" and decided to Google it for potential fic realism, and Google was like "No, but you know who was? Just Georgie and Will P., looking adorable and couple-y. Nbd."
And I was like OH YES, THEM. And they are adorable and couple-y, and also Georgie's shoes are the cutest. THEY SAY 'LET'S DANCE' ON THEM.

ONLY NOT, because then my brain had some more delayed realisations and WHAAAAT, JAMES AND GEORGIE WERE AT THE SAME EVENT AND THERE ARE NO PICTURES OF THEM TOGETHER, WHAT THE HELL, UNIVERSE? THAT IS NOT COOL.
I mean, they were at the same event, though. That's pretty cool. And I want to theorise about how that went down but wtf, I am legit writing James McAvoy/Keira Knightley/Ben Barnes??? SEND HELP.

3. Georgie is turning out just as beautiful as we all knew she would from the start. Like how you see this adorable kid come from good-looking parents, and you just think, like some old auntie, "awww, you're going to be so pretty one day."
WELL WHAT THE HELL WE WERE RIGHT.
I knew I was right to keep shipping J/G. It was 2007/8 when I started out, so it was all futurefic, but all the J/G fans KNEWWWW she'd get older and THIS would happen...and now it is. and continues to happen. Aha!
...except most of them have given up on waiting for her to age, and have stopped writing fic, etc. the queen of J/G and Tumnus/Lucy, springfall_kg, even got married and appears to have dropped out of fandom ALTOGETHER.
...if/when i marry someday, i'll still be fandoming. hands DOWN.

And I agree that they sort of do look like a couple [Will P. and Georgie], but after the Rachael/James/Georgie photo you sent me, I have no room in my brain for anything but J/G.

It will probably end up happening. But as another chapter in Email-land or as a regular-format-fiction story on its own? I'll end up writing it however the fuck I feel like writing it, but I wonder, what you think on this? Outside perspective is rad.
I declare myself the new Queen of James/Georgie.
For one reason: I've fucking stuck with my ship. Always.
And for a second reason, being that I am the only one to have written fic for the ship in the past two years.
Maybe even three years...nothing was written [or at least posted] in 2009. Everyone kind of gave up the ghost in 2008. Fuck 'em. There's us and we're here now.
This is why shipping unpopular ships gets me down. Everyone forgets about them in the end.

There was also that interview about him bumping into her when they were both promoting things, wasn't there? WHICH IS ALSO PLOTBUNNY-INSPIRING because like he probably wasn't expecting it, and so maybe they were just like "?! OMG HI" and now is the chance for them to properly catch up and maybe he hasn't been able to stop thinking about her since that chance meeting...

I think I had a point somewhere there that I lost. OH, people abandoning fandoms - it sucks, basically. But there also might be new people getting into James/Georgie now, like...well, I never used to ship it and now I do, so. THIS SHIP WON'T SINK COMPLETELY.

And the reason I haven't promoted Bowls of Pasta there is that I sort of...IDK, I don't want to post anything unfinished there. It's a dying breed and it would feel like I was getting people's hopes up for thise completed fic...only to have something that is as open-ended as the ship itself.
So I do plan on finishing the story at one point. and THEN I'll promote it more. :/

I agree. Stories that weren't set at this event would rock too. ANY stories would rock. Even if it's the author's very first fanfic and/OR it's got bad grammar and it's kind of flinch-inducing...that just allows for progress. ANYTHING I TELL YOU>
i feel kind of uncomfortable writing event-fic, since i don't know the actual times/planning focused on the event: no one does. so i feel like writing them arriving at the wrong time would be...negligently un-canon? idk. little details are what i nitpick at and it would feel better if i did that less. so i guess that's that.
P.S. I HAVE NO APPROPRIATE USERPICS FOR THIS POST ANYMORE. >:|

And can you imagine him seeing her on TV and just being like "...woah, that's Georgie?" and maybe commenting to Anne-Marie about it.
And omg, I'm so glad other people are weirdly obsessive about little RL details like that when writing RPF - I just had Keira check her watch in this fic, and then I looked at the photos again and I was like SHE WASN'T WEARING A WATCH *EDITS* as if it actually matters. I'm generally okay with writing from what we know so far/what I can find online, though, and I try to be vague about times/plannings of events. It's not like people reading it know much more, and if they do, I doubt it completely jolts them out of the story if one tiny detail is wrong. I HOPE IT DOESN'T, ANYWAY.

IT IS SO SAD THAT THE ORIGINAL JAMES/GEORGIE SHIPPERS HAVE DISAPPEARED NOW THAT IT'S LIKE, THE FUTURE THEY ALL PROBABLY IMAGINED COUNTLESS TIMES. That is super weird to me for reasons I can't quite express - not like, that it's weird that people shipped it back then, but just weird that people have probably written about them at the ages they are now, and now they ARE those ages, and like obviously that was always going to happen, but. I don't know. /INCOHERENCE
But basically people need to get back into writing them. I am like, a mess of ideas, because I'm writing this absurd Keira Knightley thing right now that's set after this event, but other parts of my brain are like "James/Georgie! Georgie/Will P.! RACHAEL! ANY AND ALL COMBINATIONS OF THESE PEOPLE, PLZ." This event has just sent my brain into overdrive. And RACHAEL/JAMES/GEORGIE - I cannot say I would be opposed to that because look at them indeed, James sandwiched between two Henleys, and Georgie and Rachael all colour-coordinated...
